The winners list will be marketed to several agents, managers and production companies. I'm
getting more people on the proverbial bandwagon every day. In order to maintain a high
caliber of finalists, the Top Ten might become the Top Five. This is done to ensure that only
the entries that deserve the title "finalist" get it and to preserve the integrity of the competition.
Finalists will get feedback. I'd love to provide feedback to all entrants, but that's proving to be
easier said than done.
All entrants get a free 1 year membership to the Writing Initiative. I'm setting up discounts and
other benefits as we speak.
I'm finalizing a few deals for product donations. Still working on better prizes. Funding and
prizes will be much easier once we get 501(c)3 tax exempt status.
Possible cash prizes for the top 3. Cash prizes to be determined by the amount of entries
and/or any additional funding we may have and/or how much loose change I have.
And, of course, (and for some, most importantly) a credit for your bio. Contest wins look
good on a query letter.
The Writing Initiative will act as a neutral third party referral regarding any marketing of the
winner's list. Individual contact information will be listed with the scripts. The Writing
Initiative will not be involved in the Contract, Sale or Production of the submitted scripts
